| The Brownwood
Rec Center in East
Atlanta is a home away from home to many kids and
teens. Atlantis has recently teamed up with the Brownwood
Recreation Center, a City of Atlanta Bureau of Recreation
facility, to start the first ever Atlanta area program
that teaches kids to learn the benefits of entrepreneurship
and hydroponics. With help from Atlantis and some
very dedicated youth leaders, the center will prove
the profitable and economical benefits to growing
hydroponically as the kids grow, market, and sell
their produce. Because hydro is much more successful
than soil and the rate of growth is so rapid, these
kids could jumpstart their future with just a few
seeds!
To help them along the way, we
donated a complete indoor garden system for the center.
The goal: to try and raise money for the kids to take
a trip in the spring. Growing fresh, organic produce
and culinary herbs for local restaurants is easy and
consistent using hydroponics, even in the winter.
The relationship is great... A better product for
the consumer and business skills for some smart Atlanta
kids! See

Grassroots
Learning - Because
Hydroponics is such a new phenomenon, we love getting
the word out. In our home town of Athens, Atlantis
Hydroponics participates in a number of programs that
help kids learn the benefits of plants and the relationship
that we have with them. Check
out what Ms. Hubbard's kids learned!
