Viagrow™ Black Bucket Drip Hydroponic System

Drip Hydroponics is a hydroponic technique where water and fertilizer are pumped through a manifold of tubes, pipes, or ducts which then drip down beside a plant or group of plants potted in an inert growing substrate. This single bucket system is an ideal way to try out hydroponics on a small scale. The Black Bucket Drip Hydroponic System includes a 5 gallon black bucket with handle, a 3.5 gallon insert, drip ring with pumping column, 1/4" air tubing and air pump. Maintain or drain water using the attached water level indicator. Systems come with ViaStone, nutrients sold separately.

• I saw this product on Amazon and wanted to buy it but I don't know what kind of nutrients to buy. Could you help me figure out what nutrients would be best for a rose bush or a small kitchen herb garden?
  You can use any nutrient line that you like. For small herbs, however, you don't need much. They can make it pretty easily with a low ppm level. For flowering plants you need a higher level ppm bloom nutrient.
• How much water do I use for the black bucket drip system?
  You should use about 4 gallons of water. The 5 gallon capacity on the black bucket is hindered by the fact that it has a 6" net pot lid which takes away some of the water capacity.
